As an Angelino, it’s nice to see things leading off with Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar.
As a person who loves musicals, it’s nice to see Kendrick followed by the cast of Hamilton singing the anthem. Progressives definitely winning so far tonight.

1ST QUARTER
11:48 – Klay draws a foul for breathing. NBA definitely put the fix in for this to go seven. 0-0.
11:09 – LeBron gets a layup. The teams have extended their wink/wink no defense allowed agreement. 4-3 Cavs.
9:53 – LeBron commits his first foul. He has perfected the Pau Gasol “who, me?” face. 9-4 GSW.
9:12 – Kevin Love draws his second foul for getting his shirt pulled by Zaza. 9-6 GSW.
8:42 – LeBron follows an impossible Kyrie layup with a steal and layup immediately thereafter. Quick thought: Does anybody convert more impossible shots than Kyrie? 13-9 Cavs.
Commercial break over, back to the arena: Diddy is dancing. No word on whether he was saying, “take that, take that.”
7:56 – LeBron is hesitant to bully Klay down low for some reason leading to a turnover from Jefferson. 13-11 Cavs.
7:23 – Zaza levels LeBron with the obvious charge. No word on whether Zaza’s got Kerr’s kids held hostage and thus gets playing time.

7:58 – A Cavs turnover leads to a thunderous turn back the clock dunk from Iguodala inspiring a “getting’ Iggy with it” from Mark Jackson. 41-39 Cavs.
6:48 – Iman Shumpert is guarding KD for a possession. That lasted exactly one possession tonight for good reason. KD then drains a three in LeBron’s eye. 45-43 GSW.
5:45 – Cavs leave Steph wide open for a three. GSW leaves Shumpert open for a three. It goes about as you’d expect. Swish for Steph. Side of the backboard for Shump. 48-43 GSW.
